Blogging has been in the back of my mind for years. I never made the jump because it seemed whatever I wrote would be lost in the thousands if not millions (probably trillions) of other blogs online. At least with a paper I can print it and file it away with the other 1000 papers I have. That way my words actually exist in the universe - or at least until my children burn all my stuff after I move on.
But here I am. I have been assigned to do this so now I "have to". I've only written a few words and I am already wondering why I waited so long.
COMMUNITY SOCIAL WORK
There it is Michael. This first blog is a test run and I won't be writing much about community this time but I do have a lot to say about it starting with:
Community Social Work is the only human service work that can truly turn this country, state, county, community and ultimately world around and head us in the direction we as social workers have said we wanted to go in for hundreds of years. Thank you Michael for giving me an opportunity to overcome my reluctance and put my works out into the world.
